Awards for Exemplary Performance
 Each May, the Foundation underwrites an event for officers and their families in recognition of exemplary service in all divisions of the Fort Worth Police Department. Highlight of the event is the presentation of the Police Officer of the Year award. Officers who are recognized receive engraved watches, and the Officer of the Year receives a firearm. The 60th consecutive event will be celebrated in May 2012.
